Because I promised to inform stechan how my arthroscopy was and how I feel now after everything is done, here my short story:

2008-09-25 06:00: entered hospital
2008-09-25 06:10: got my room and hospital clothing, watching breakfast tv … :/
2008-09-25 06:30: got a small pill, asked if it would kill me, nurse said no, swallowed it
2008-09-25 07:30: bored of watching stupid tv-shows, writing sms instead
2008-09-25 08:00: feeling sleepy, not much sleep the night before
2008-09-25 08:30: doctor entered room, asked me stuff
2008-09-25 09:00: entered operation room, got anaesthetised, thought “PHA … that shit won’t bring m……..” and slept
2008-09-25 11:30: recovered from anaesthesia, feeling dizzy, don’t know what happened, looked on my left foot, saw the bandage, thought “WOW …”
2008-09-25 12:00: back in the room, feeling very dizzy and sleepy
2008-09-25 15:30: woke up, still don’t know what the fuck happened
2008-09-25 18:00: slowly realizing everything
2008-09-25 18:30: got something to eat
2008-09-25 19:00: girlfriend visited me, happy
2008-09-25 21:00: got to sleep again, what a day

2008-09-26 08:00: nurse woke me up, brought breakfast, yummy
2008-09-26 09:30: doctor came, looked at his work, asked me how I felt, told me I could go home today
2008-09-26 12:00: packed my stuff, hobbled home
2008-09-26 13:00: realized that there was much blood in my shoe :/, went back to see the doctor and check if that’s normal, was told that it was only the haematoma from the operation
2008-09-26 14:00: came home, watched tv, surfed the web
2008-09-26 15:00: opperator visited, drank coffee, talked about stuff

Well, these were my two days in hospital. The doctor gave me a video-CD with my operation on it. Maybe I’ll post some screenshots later, so that you can see what happened :P .

Now, 3 weeks after my arthroscopy I feel quite confident again and can do some jumping already, but there is still some pain around the scars. But I guess that this pain will decrease in a few days or weeks.

Finally: some pix!

Slackware + eeePC + Linux 2.6.27.1 = YIIIIIHA!

new week, new article.

This weekend I tuned my little slackeee and installed the recently released 2.6.27.1 linux kernel. I did this because I read on the Changelog that ath5k now really supports the built-in chip of the first generation eeePC. I already tried to use ath5k in the past and failed, but the Changelog sounded very optimistic with this version so I gave it a try and now it works! :D

So far, I don’t need madwifi anymore because everything comes straight from the kernel itself. I can’t tell you how happy I am!

UPDATE:

YES! I also read that 2.6.28 will have support for the Attansic network chip too!

I WAS WRONG!

hi guys,

I just discovered that I was completely wrong in my opinion concerning the “bite inhibition” of dogs and/or wolves. I thought (and I guess that 95 % of the people also do) that the wolf which offers his throat is the inferior one, but that’s WRONG. Erik Zimen disproved this. My earlier opinion was that the superior wolf is “social” and doesn’t want to kill a member of his pack. Well, everyone is learning. So am I.

But I guess, that most of the people won’t like this point, because it’s not social enough. ;)
