Another step towards 1984 … :(

Starting with today, every Austrian passport has an additional “security feature”:

I don’t know what to do … I don’t want such a passport. I don’t want my fingerprints stored on that chip. Every person capable of reading this data could then use my fingerprint. I DON’T WANT THAT CRAP!

Freedom is Slavery,

    yeah! Fingerprints!
Next step: You have to carry your passport all the time…we both knows where this will end, there are only a few posibilities. In most poeple will be the big loser.
But why do you care? they already have your fingerprints ;) and the question is, which one they doesn’t have?

    true, true.

whether they have my fingerprints or not: I just don’t want it. And I don’t think of me as individual while writing this. I know where this could possibly lead …

yep, the next step will be chip-implants to track “criminals”. then, after some time, parents will try to keep track of their children so keep them away from “danger”. next step, government will try to keep people off “dangerous” places by keeping track of them and voila: 1984 :(

    I hope I’m wrong, I really do. But I guess … I’m not….
